I know that they technically took God out of their organization, but last night was Baby Gurl's award ceremony and we prayed (as a group, to God) before and after the program. (Also, I guess it's important to point out that we also had prayer at my 5th grade son's promotion ceremony - in public school). It's been a really good experience for my girl. In fact it only took a couple of meetings before she was asking me to let her go in by herself (she's 7 and shy). It's done huge things for her self esteem. I'm happy with our local chapter. Daughter just joined the GS this year.
