I recently received an email from Christine Field, who’s a fellow homeschooling mom and an attorney. She shared some exciting news:
I work for a legal ministry called Homeschool Legal Advantage, a ministry of the Christian Law Association. CLA has been representing clients (including lots of
homeschoolers!) in matters of faith and religious freedom for 40 years.Homeschool Legal Advantage represents a new idea in legal services for homeschoolers. We operate on a donations basis, rather than a yearly premium.
The face of homeschooling is changing, and we believe the delivery of legal services to homeschoolers should change too.We offer first year members a FREE membership! For that membership, you receive 24-hour-a-day access to an attorney. We help parents resolve challenges to their
homeschooling, up to and including litigation if the matter is a direct constitutional challenge to homeschooling. If you are pleased with your first
year of service, we ask you to renew on a suggested donation basis. As “legal missionaries” we are blessed to be of service to the homeschool community. In addition to access to legal services, first year members receive a FREE LAST WILL & TESTAMENT. We are committed to the right to life and the preservation of
the family, and that commitment begins pre-birth and extends to death. This will is a demonstration of that commitment and another valuable service we can
provide for homeschoolers. Think about how much it would cost you to hire a private lawyer just to draft your will! We offer you your membership and the
will – for FREE.Sign-up is easy. Just visit our website at www.HomeschoolLegalAdvantage.com and click on JOIN NOW. You will be asked for a coupon code. Enter CLA (which stands
for Christian Law Association) and we will send you a membership card, along with a form for you and your spouse to fill out for your will. In a few weeks,
our attorneys mail you your will, ready to execute according to the laws of your state. How can we afford to do this? The Lord has provided for the Christian Law Association ministry for 40 years and we rely on Him as we increase.
It’s time for a new look at legal services for homeschoolers. Check us out at www.HomeschoolLegalAdvantage.com.
This is good to know, thank you!
I met Christine last year at a Chicago homeschool convention. She’s a long time Illinois homeschooler and knows her stuff. We need her. I’m glad she’s advocating for homeschoolers.
You’re welcome, Karen 🙂
Me too, Susan. Good to see you here!
Christine and Homeschool Legal Advantage will also help homeschool group leaders. If you have a legal question regarding running your homeschool support group or co-op, ask HLA. They helped one homeschool group that was being harassed by the IRS and were in jeopardy of losing 501c3 tax exempt status.
Good to know, Carol. Thank you!
