When my 1 1/2-year-old granddaughter saw this quilt for the first time, she said, “Wow, wow, wow!” and hugged it. That’s when I learned that she loves bright colors and strong patterns. So I decided to make her a dress out of some vintage fabric I found at a fabric sale, and Simplicity pattern 8563. I’m giving it to her for her second birthday. I’m hoping she’ll like it; maybe she’ll even say “Wow!”
